Albies on topwater
well this week of albie fishing has just been epic.
total for the week Monday to Friday was 32 from shore, with numerous hits and dropped fish, lost an absolute beast at my feet that made a last ditch run and wrapped some rocks and popped off.
every day I was able toget at least one on topwater, the hits and blow ups are just incredible. watching a single fish leave the school to track down and attack the popper was great to watch, got a lot of it on the go pro just no time to go thru it.
Bigfish savage tadpole popper, .5oz, rerigged with wolverine split rings and one size up hooks from stock. This thing is a blast to fish.

so much bait everywhere, albies puking up silversides and peanuts, had one fish spit up live peanuts that swam away.
got a bunch of banded rudderfish on metals too, new species for me.
Larry thanks again for the get well gift, it got a work out.
FYI kidney stones are no joke, no bueno.

Yesterday I took the dog for a walk somewhere rocky and saw the biggest Albie feed I have ever seen in my life. And I had no fishing gear with me.

isnt that always the case???
Wayne we were mostly blind casting, at some times nothing was showing for hours but we were still on fish, surface feeds were just insane though when they did happen.
