Preferences on buying lures
I've been cleaning a hundred plugs, swimmers, needles, poppers, tins; pretty much 30 years of stuff. So I started putting it in like lots to sell, but now I'm wondering if I wouldn't be better off in sell a mixed collection top to bottom sort of stuff, so it might be a really good start for a young fisherman. That of course takes a little more time and I need to get thru cleaning everything and then maybe buy a dozen Plano boxes to put the in.
Thoughts? Love some input.

Perhaps you could group them by price...for instance $5 each, $10 each, $20 each, etc. and just take photos of groups of same price plugs.

What he said makes sence especially with it bein just before Christmas . the want will be there but the money might be short with gifts an all. I'd also talk to Peter --Vineyardblues as some of what you have may be collectable to some. Merry Christmas

I was thinking originally lots like this and not individually, but again maybe a box with a couple needles, a few swimmers to hit different depths, a couple poppers and a few tins might be more attractive as a lot sale.

I still lean towards individual pricing because some folks may want only 1or 2 plugs in a group and may be reluctant to buying an assortment or grouping to get what they want. I have been wrong on many occasions so perhaps it's best to let the thread ride awhile and see what others think.

Don't seperate. You have them organized as they should be. Make people buy the lots, in order to get the goodies. You can also post them in the classified with highest bid to get them. Example "highest bid before Monday 8pm"

There are fishing clubs that have "surf day" where you can rent a table and sell your plugs.
Replace all the hooks with new VMC and place a thumbprint price tag on each plug.

I would do this because you don't want to get stuck with everything no one wants

I agree with Mike and Bob mix up the lots and set a price so folks have to pay to get the gems 👍🏾

So now I have another question as I've never been a hard core surf guy so I've never really had the need to upgrade the hooks or hardware, I'm inclined to sell as is rather then waste time, effort and expense to purchase built lots of hooks and split rings; thoughts?

I really appreciate the feedback as I really don't want to package these in such a way they are too many of one thing, or two pricey and I'd like to put them in the hands of someone who can use them. So here is what I'm thinking and put this box together with the following; CC pencil, boone popper, Habs popper, salty needle, needle by brand X, bomber swimmer, rebel swimmer, 1oz spot, roberts rangers, pt jude tin and kastmaster tin. All in a brand new planno 3700 (14" long if you need the scale) and if new I'd guess the entire lot would have run around $100. The majority of these are in excellent shape and could be fished as is, so now I'm thinking about price and is 50% off original a realistic number. Would $50 be a really good price and move this so I don't have to fool around all winter unloading stuff?

Box#2 thoughts on $65 for what if you bought new would be close to $135? Rapala CD18 mag, yozuri popper, salty needle, needle unknown, rapala swimmer, bomber swimmer, yozuri swimmer, shimano 5oz vertical jigs, pt. jude tin and kastmaster tin. Swimmer ID may not be spot on, sometimes hard for me to say if its a rebel, bomber or rapala.
Anyway this is the direction I'm heading, curious it this seems like a good plan and price structure.
