Does anyone wish they could open their vehicle and at a glance see exactly what they have for plugs, jigs, metal, organized into color and sizes? One better , how would you like it if they were already in seperate crystal clear tubes ans all you had to do was grab the tube and put it in your bag? All the metal could go into a clear jig / metal pouch so when you opened it up you could see at a glance what was what? One better, how would you like to have the tubes around the perimeter of the bag and have a section for live eels in the middle on ice? What overall dimension would be too big? Good ergonomically designed shoulder strap and a waist belt (quick release) so it does not move when casting and can be undone for deep wading/swimming, but can be slid around to the front.

Modular bag - thought about it, had several things in mind and usually grabbed the same stuff anyway. Eventually has 2 bags, my RI bag and my Canal Bag

If i start at dusk we will say I will switch out some stuff after dark then again on my last stop before dawn. Granted 90% of the time it is eels anyway. This bag will be insulated and water proof to keep the ice for the entire night with a drain tube to drain off melted ice water.

I am also working on a lexan plug holder that will allow you to see exactly what you have avaiable to pick from immediatly

All sounds like great ideas

I usually pack light, I fish a two or three tube bag, pick what I need based on conditions and spots. And then have a few other options in the truck in case I move or conditions change

Does anyone have a materials list and or supplier of what commando used in his bags? Cloth/grommets/snaps/velcro/ making progress on shoulder straps. Round tubes in a square bags waste space. rectangular tubes will allow easier plug selection with out a tangeled up mess?

No, it's not just you. Back when I was doing 100+ night a year I had 4 see-thru plastic draws in the back of my Blazer with dividers. I could see right away what I had for plugs. Had a day bag, a night bag, a Canal bag, and a BI bag.
One time a good friend of mine who has since passed stated that I was a rolling tackle store. This was before people broke into surf casters trucks. I wouldn't do it now.
My surf bag for SoCo would be 3 or 4 needles in Lime green, white and black or yellow, 3 Dannys, in white, parrot and black maybe a popper (never a big popper fan) 1/2 dozen white bucktails and a couple of soft body shads.
If you can't catch fish with that assortment, they aren't there!!

My truck has anti theft, when that is activated it also starts recording and they wont find the device. A live feed is on the list but dont think I will get to it this season. Might get hit but I will be seeing them prosicuted as i am collecting the insurance money.
