If i can get out this weekend i will give it a shot from shore. I will be carrying an albie setup and a toggin setup. A handful of tog jigs and a bucket of crabs. I had a blast a few years ago getting tog, bonita, albies, stripers all in one afternoon, one of the best days of fishing i ever had. All i needed was a blue to round out the species count that day.

Back in my boating days out of Westport, I'd usually wrap up a day on hens and chicken to grab a tog or two on plastic before heading in. They were up shallow in the rocks and you had to finesse them with light jigs (to avoid getting weeded up) and I used my 4" olive split tails.

Verified today, keeper tog in 15 to 30 feet of water at the usual locations in the bay.
Got 3 keepers today, made for a delicious dinner.
they seem love the little crabs you gather yourself at low tide under flat rocks a lot more than the larger ones you can buy
