Looking to purchase new reels & put puzzle together

I am trying to determine what reels I need to purchase at the next few shows but cannot make any decisions because I am not sure of the capacity of what I currently have.

I would like to replace the Stella 10000 with a Van Staal for Cuttyhunk as I do not wish to give it another "Sea Wash". Not sure what size VS to buy but a lot of guys I think were using the 200 size ??

I am thinking of trying Tuna this year, or at least be prepared in case, so I will need 1 popping rod/reel and 1 jigging rod/reel. I know that a lot of guys are using the Van Staal 275 for these applications. I'm confused as to why you would not want a conventional reel on a jigging rod as it seems more appropriate.

Since Cutty is only once a year I would like to have that reel multitask as buying a Van Stall for a once a year outing doesn't make much sense.

I like the idea of using my Stella 10000 on the Tuna popping rod but I looked at the line capacity and to me it just seems shy. The Specs on the reel say (mm / meter) .35/440m .40/300 .45/210

Since I was told I needed 80# braid on the popping rod I looked up it's diameter which is .017 which is the .45/210 above so I converted the 210 meters to yards and got 229. So I get 229 yards of 80# braid on the Stella. If you cast 50 to 70 yards that leaves you with 160 yards of "run" left" which seems like an awfully short leash. This confused me as i keep reading that the Stella 10000 will catch BFT.

So I need to know if that Stella is doable on the boat ? If is is then I could "steal" the Cuttyhunk Van Staal reel (if big enough) and use it as my boat jigging rod/reel, which means I only need to buy 1 VS reel, if the Stella is too small than 2 VS's.

To muddy up the waters a little more I need 2 conventional reels to put on my Tsunami wire "Bunker spoon" rods as I'm sick of moving the Talicas off the regular trolling rods then back again. So maybe I can use these conventional rods in the Tuna application to keep me from buying more reels than I need to. I know what size I need for trolling off the back of the boat but if those reels are to "double duty" for tuna trolling / jigging then I need help on correct sizing.

I know this puzzle probably has a pretty simple answer, I just need to find out what it is.

Before you can be old and wise you must first be young and stupid.
