Vinyl lettering residue
So repainted the top sides this year and just stuck the new vinyl name on. Looks good.
However when removing the old name with heat and a putty knife still had a tape residue as expected. I ended up sanding this off beacause everything I used to take off the residue didn’t do it.
Tried minieral spirits. Acetone. Denatured alcohol. Lacquer thinner. Fingernail polish remover. Goo gone.
No joy like wtf over. So sanded it as I was sanding the top sides anyway.
What have you guys had success with?

Used bar keepers friend then shined it with collinite 870 and wax. No shadows or residue.
