Weird, I click the link, get 2 seconds of your stern/wake then it jumps to another video. Good luck with the bugs, I hope you have a davit, they get heavy and then the $5.99lb supermarket price looks so good.

Thats funny. The motor looked to be running good. My experience was that my traps were loved by eggers and the build up of weeds on them happened fast, mung and traps makes for a real heavy mess.

If I didn't have the hydroslave and davit/block I probably wouldn't bother hauling traps on my boat.
It is allot of fun to do with friends and a few beers to have a laugh. I enjoy pulling the pots more than eating lobster.

Hey I'd take a 30 minute documentary, I love hauling pots, don't know why, but I do. How many pots are you running?
My 12 year-old and I are friendly with a commercial lobsterman in P-Town, he takes my son and I out every year. He always says that his break-even day is coming back with a pound of marketable lobster for every trap he hauls. He texted me, said that last week, in 5 days, he brought back over 9,000 pounds of lobster, one of his best weeks ever.

Government intervention and regulation in the form of V-notching the tails of females is paying off.

Are you in Mass? WHat's the recreational limit? And how long would you like to soak them?

Do you have a hauler, or doing it by hand? May I ask what kind of boat you have? You can fit all 10 pots safely in the deck?
I'm VERY interested in recreational lobstering when I retire.
