Cod trip
After trying to put together a trip to Cox’ for a couple weeks I finally made it out there today for an afternoon bite. There was a mix of choggie and seabass for a while with an occasional keeper codfish. After a couple hours we started moving more and found the bite we were looking for with fish up to 25#. Definitely a worthwhile way to spend a day. I also got a nice report of busting tuna when I returned to the dock!

Nice, I'm just waiting for a weather window that coincides with some free time. Did you fish the east or west side?

Glad you had a good day catching cod.
Wish like hell we could target them again north of the 42 line 😔

I am looking to get out Tuesday, not a barn burner 0900 underway Allens Harbor NK. going to go south and stay late afternoon depending on the bite. I am solo right now but if anyone would like to come with happy to have the company. Tuna, Mahi and whatever else we may find. Totaly casual.

I'm glad someone besides commercial interests can get a few... nice work, like Ronnie said, sure wish we could have a few... I see them on the machine in the inshore rock piles where they have always been since I was a kid this time of year, some of those marks are sizable..
congrats on a good outing.
