ever heard of new england fishmongers?
it’s a very cool company, a small ( one boat, handful of fishermen) rod-and-reel commercial
fishing company. they fish for ground fish and instead of selling their catch to wholesalers, sell it to
markets, restaurants, and individuals at farmers markets. the fishing equivalent of farm-to-table.
they even do home
deliveries of fish and scallops, like the milkmen did 50 years ago. i’ve been following them on facebook, they are doing a lot of non-contact home deliveries at this time. they operate in NH and ME. id love to get up there and buy some fresh scallops.

We (On The Water) filmed with them last year, pollock fishing on Fippennies Ledge. Tim and his crew work very hard to fish sustainably and provide fresh fish for their customers, what they call Boat to Table. I was the cusk master on that trip, while the Fishmongers doubled and tripled up on big pollock. Tim even said they like to take people out with them for the day, to help load the boxes.
I couldn't remember if links were allowed on this site or not, but the video is on the OTW YouTube Channel.

my son and i watched
it three times, talking to
tim about fishing with them. sounds like, on facebook, they are doing ok during this virus craziness.
Jimmy, they worked so hard, but seemed
like the most pleasant folks. their customers love them.
