Schoolies in West Haven CT

took my boys and the puppy to a well-known spring spot in West Haven in the warm sunshine Saturday. 30 seconds after we set up, we were hooked up, but we lost the fish on the way in. That was it for us, not a nibble in the next hour. I saw 6-7 fish get landed within 100 yards of me in that hour, nice fat schoolies. Not bad considering we were there at 2 PM on a bluebird day instead of dusk or dawn which is better there.

Hoping that social distancing doesn't ruin the charter trips I have in mind for this year.
