Would enjoy seeing pics of decoys. I know some are worth some dough. Last thing I need is something new to collect....
Launch service sent out am email yesterday saying they would be closed today.... I would not have been out in this blow anyway. Next two days are crap shoot. Continue trimming out our deck or fish. We shall see what the weather brings

I think you might have a better shot at a 40” fish that weighs close to what a 45” fish normally would, but I hope you achieve your goal nonetheless

Came close but no cigar. When I was asked in the past I would say a 40 in fish weighed 25 lb now I say around 22 pounds.

Nice work.
I’ve found quite the opposite this year. The fish have been tanks. Tough to get a gauge on them because they’re not that long. The only year I wish I had a boga. Good amount of fish around 38” going 20+.
My arms and back are sore.

At least from last nights results, and I fished through two tides, the big girls weren't to be found.

I had a good run this past weekend that was probably as good as any I've had it in Connecticut in 30 years. And I did comment on how fat the fish were. And then to top it off I took our boat out Sunday morning and got a 10-pound Tog which was my largest ever in my limited experience.

had my nephew in town all weekend, got him a new surf rod on Friday and spent the weekend breaking it in...played in the upper bay fri, sat, sun for schoolies, blues and sea robins then headed out front this morning to find bass, blues and albies in full October feed mode destroying bay anchovies in the surf from the rocks...single hooks and pinched barbs...might be one of the best mornings of his life

Good stuff. His mind must’ve been blown.
This Fall has been awesome. Old, traditional patterns playing out. We had peanuts of every size, adults, micro anchovies, and hickory shad going airborne this weekend.
