Rattled the windows pretty good in Yarmouth, too. They're saying it was Buzzards Bay area.

In the winter with the leaves off and a HARD NW wind a large jet landing with thrust reversers will make a loud noise for about 5-6 seconds. This was that same noise, then got louder, Dogs in the neighborhood started barking, mine woke up off couch as the house shook and popped. Nothing fell.

We were packing up the camper in Middleboro, loud rumble, actually thought it was a train at first, then the trees started shaking. Acorns dropping by the dozens then I felt it in my feet. Didn't feel it as I walked but when I stopped to look up I could feel it. Pretty wild stuff. I read it was a 4.2 with the epicenter being Bliss Corner in Dartmouth. There were several others on the east coast as well I believe, but not positive.

Yeah, believe it or not, I was a seismologist back in the 1980s. Studied earthquake wave propagation in the eastern US; the waves travel a long ways here, as there is little ground attenuation. Maybe it was triggered by all the people celebrating Biden’s win in MA!
