The best dock to use is the elm st pier between the goat island causeway and the Newport bridge (it’s the pier closest to the causeway). I recommend this one because they can park in the gateway center and walk over to the pier. If they park on the streets pretty much anywhere in Newport after 6, they will get a parking ticket.
If they are in the battle Zone of Newport there’s 2 options if parking isn’t an issue. The Ann st pier or the floating docks right at the corner of long wharf and Perotti park.
I’d go with elm street just to avoid all the crazies inside the harbor

Gonna use the elm st ramp. Google earthed it. Even my poor direction following skills should be adequate.
