Bunker spoons
Anyone have any success with these ? or Mojo rigs I know they are big in NJ and NY
I used a Bunker spoon early in my boating days and got the same results I get when I tried Darters Nothing .. and the MOJO rigs I've only caught 1 bass
even with schools of Pogies in the Area they dont seem interested ..

Use to troll big bunker spoons on wire around the cliff at Bonnet. Green and white worked great. had many fish in the 40s back in 06 through 12

I'd rather get a root canal than troll, I was always on a trolling motor and casting to cover, quieter and much more peaceful. I suppose if your taking a charter or scouting for action it might be useful, just not for me. The closest I ever got to trolling was putting the trolling motor on constant and snapping a jerk bait on a jig head well behind the boat and that was a killer way to connect, quiet and deadly.

I am not big fan of trolling. But like you said Bob I use it more scouting. Or if i need a few bluefish they seem to like tubes and such .. but if it involves wire I am all set !

not my favorite way to fish, at least in a traditional sense, but it's one more tool in the box, and %90 of my fishing is under the cover of darkness.. that being said, I have quite a few old lupos and pets that have put fish on the deck when nothing else would, one summer in particular off of Popham beach, those things were killer around the base of the cliffs, trolled on lead, they reached down and woke the sleeping giants..
I've never used a mojo, and never will..
my idea of trolling is covering ground at night with an electric in 4' of water, fan casting to the sand or the grass... I've never got sunburned or "mugged" fishing in this manner.. cant say that for trolling tubes and spoons.
