A sociology professor from Berkeley, is suggesting that we evacuate everyone from Miami because of climate change. Not because the city is facing any immediate danger from anything weather-related. But because this very rational and logical person, feels that ordering Miami to evacuate would be the catalyst for a progressive revolution on such asides as climate change, tenants rights ( has a lot to do with weather obviously), green energy, infastructure, and of course, racism and police violence ( also highly correlated with weather obviously).
In classic liberal fashion, he isn’t suggesting that his city be forced to evacuate, HE doesn’t wish be inconvenienced. But a city on the other side of the country should be forced to evacuate, so that he can feel better about himself.
This is a college professor at a very prestigious university.
