Craig you need to explain to them how to resize a picture if it is too big. I have found in Paint shop pro that if I resize to the dimensions of 11.5 wide that is usually goes thru. Any pointers will be helpful. Paul

like I said above in paint shop pro, go to image , then resize. I think I use 11.5 inches wide and they usually go thru. Then save and then go find it and post it. I am by no means a computer person so if I can do it anyone can. I am sure there are other ways. For pm's I use photobucket.com. Hope this helps. Paul

Thumbs up resizing pics

the site has a rule.....no larger than 800 x 600 pixels for the large...

avatars can be no larger than 121 by 121 pixels

as for the art program it can be photoshop ,paintshop pro
or the software that came with your camera....

you hit image resize...

if i know i am going to take a pic to post here on this site, i will change the format setting on my camera to the smallest setting, which is perfect for uploading.. no sizing needed. But if you have to resize, you right click on your photo before you open it and select edit, from there you chose stretch/skew and play with the %'s until it fits. Remember what the final % was for the next time.

If you dont have a photoeditor you can resize using just MS Paint. open it in Paint, go to "Image" on the menu, select "Stretch/SKew"
Enter the SAME percentage for both horizontal and vertical, and save.
For my camera, I need about 33% of the original size. Keep bumping it down until it fits

A lesson i learned from Rav and Tagger.
Click on start
click on all programs
click on acessories
click on paint
When paint opens:
click on file and then open-this will open your pic files.
when the file comes up run the clicker over the pic and it will say ex.size 2000x 2300.--- too big you have to reduce it to below 800x800
now click on the pic and it will come up on paint
go to images on top of page and click on
click stretch and skew it will say 100% x 100%
change #s to 38% x 38% which should make it below the 800x800 u need.
Go back and click on paint file and then click on Save As
write small next to the pic file
click on pic, which will now be in your file lsted as small
exit out of paint
Then as Rav says above, when you hit brouse your pic will show as ex. 010706small which is what ya want.
Any questions ask Rav, he's "the man"

ahhh...
now I realize most of you use a photo from your my documents or my pictures? And when you attach as a thumbnail it can be enlarged when you click on it?
I store most of mine in Shutterfly.

Raven - nice How To... Steve, when you attach any picture over a certain size (150x150 I think), the site software will automatically create the thumbnail and link to the bigger picture...

The Dimension limits for this filetype are 800 x 800. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 1600 x 1200.

I'll need to resize

Which 1 are you referring too?
1st pic of my Bronco
Plugs or
2nd pic of Bronco?
With SF I can just copy properties in the small size and paste in the image box(1st truck pic)
The plug pic I clicked to full size it in SF,copied the props and pasted.
2nd pic of truck I resized in my documents and attached.

you mean

my nick name was derived from my fondness for beer?

no not really...although i first smashed my tailbone in a soccer game
when i decided to steam roll this pain in the butt goalie
and ran right into him on purpose like a runaway truck
i went flippin head over heels and landed so hard on my tailbone
i was temporarilly paralyzed.....thats the scariest feeling in the world
i must admit....and i was carried off to my dorm and then
drank beer day and night for three weeks...straight
until i got off my crutches...
but the nick name was a derivative of my last name
condensed into suds...
mota-man or marlboro
