Yesterday Afternoon
While driving past the bulkhead at the head of Falmouth inner Harbor last evening I spied a guy casting plugs into the water and retrieving them. I pulled over and knew immediatly he was test swimming some. All he had was Surfster style plugs and all were really beautiful. I got out and talked with him and watched him for twenty minutes or so. I ended up being given these two. He was most generous. I must say these are the closest to the real CCBCO I have ever seen.

I know Steve and his wonderful wife who pops in here from time to time just moved to Rhody from PA (probably to get closer to the Superbowl Champion Patriots and further away from the Eagles ). I do wish them luck in their new surrondings and I look forward to meeting them soon. Hi Steve and Mrs. SF!

Those are real purty Mike but Black/gold and yellow pearl white are meant to take fish and thats what these babies sre going to do, he had all sorts of gorgeous paint schemes but the basic collors just caught my eye and I suddenly had visions of Pasque in my head. No hanging in my collection these things swam really juicy, I just kept waiting foe a big swirl to come up behind one. The guy's name was Steve, big guy with a hand shake like a steel vise! Ouch!

Yeah! And I was near the "peas-au-frozen" stage. He did ask me if there was a Wal-Mart around so he could by a jacket. He had his wife with him and she said she liked the way we say "Hahba" up here.

These plugs are great. They hold in current and rough conditions, including the 7200 size. Great paint and finish and they swim fantastic. the middle plug is another Steve F creation and swims really nice.
pic got lost see next page

Steve makes a great looking plug. I saw the surfsters at Mikes shop but had never seen the middle one before.
I was inspired by Labrador1 on SOL to make a peanut plug for later in the season. Test swam them this morning now ready for paint. These are for personal stash and won't be made for sale.

I knew what they were as soon as I saw them. Very maticulous and awesome attention to detail in these plugs. Totally destroyed when the mullet were around in the fall, that cut in the head gives that mullet'ish profile, cast WHAM, cast WHAM, cast miss WHAMMMMM!!!!!! Call 'em cast WHAMS! Forget this surfster stuff
I gave one as part of a wedding present last year
