What terminal knot do you use on your flouro leaders?

A few of my palomar knots have failed on the mirage flouro that I have been using for leaders. What knot do you use for your terminal knot?

Improved Albright from main line to leader.....(I also dab with Crazy Glue).........improved clinch from leader to terminal tackle.....

Improved clinch, but it's hard to tighten down on higher line weights.

Palomar. But I only use Seaguar floro. 40# and up I use needlenose to help cinch it down.

Palomar, Never had one fail, but on some of the stiffer lines you really have to work to snug it down properly.

I'm also using mirage and tying palomar knots. No failures or issues of any sort. Just make sure to wet it good before cinching it down and get it good and tight. Even the 60 and 80# tie easily. Great stuff!

I'm using the Mirage 44lb Fluro for leaders and have always used the Improved Clinch knot with an extra overhand knot after I cinch the knot up.
Never had one slip

In heavier mono (I never saw the need to use heavy flouro) I use a simple clinch with fewer turns. IMO it's more important to get the knot snug than it is to add the turns or pass it thru the loop with as you do with an improved clinch.

Another option is to use the "non slip loop" knot. Tie a loose overhand knot in the leader about 6-8" from the end. Pass the tag end thru the eye of the lure, leaving yourself about an inch diameter loop between the overhand knot and the lure. Then go up thru the overhand knot with the tag end, take three wraps around the standing part, and bring the tag end down thru the open overhand, then tighten it up. The knot is basically a three-turn bowline.

Palomar or Uni - I have had a failure or two, but I am sure I was operator failure. I was tired or lazy and didn't tighten it down enough.

If the knot is slipping, but you are confident in your skills you can try adding zap-a-gap or super glue. Or you can tie an over-hand knot on the tag end before trimming.

i use the improved clinch knot. get some rigging golves(you can get these at a offshore based fishing store) and pull the standing line hard to snug it up also wet the knot before snuging it up. add a dab of zap-a-gap slow set glue after the knot is done
