For a showdown with Islam. Radical clerics expressing to thier followers that thier children should be taught to embrace Jihad and martyrdom? Australia's head Muslim Cleric is producing videos urging this.

A great majority of the worlds problems right now are religious in nature. Radical Islamists are the leaders of the pack.

The religion of Islam has many many violent aspects. Is this truly acceptable to a majority world population that seeks harmony and peace and co-existence?

I think not. It's time to face the real problem of islamic fundamentalism as a world threat.

No but I was hoping against hope that the muslim world would somehow shake out the radicals amongst themselves, this isn't going to happen. It's time for full scale response not just pussyfooting around like we have been. Too bad our fearless leader Mr. Bush wasted all this time and money and lives on Iraq when there were bigger fish to fry.

Time to get Islam off the screen.

The muslim world is a lost cause, they will never change, even the good muslims won't speak out against the radicals. The radicals control the muslim religion, it's that simple. But if somehow a large movement of good muslims could evolve and quiet the radicals, then maybe, just maybe, they can change some of brainwashing being done by the radicals within Islam.

Sounds like you are for expanding the war on terror? I'm with you on this, we all know who the enemy is, we know where they lurk and plan attacks, we know they preach hate in Mosques, so why is the entire world turning a blind eye?? Only the US and GB seem to even want to take on the radicals, the rest of the world turns a blind eye. How many more 9/11's will it take to wake people the %$%$%$%$ up and realize how dangerous radical Islam is!!??

I was listening to 96.9fm last month, and they had a guest on (I believe it was on the Michael Graham show.) This speaker was giving hard facts about the Muslim/Islamic community in Europe today.
Most European familys are having 0-2 children while the Muslim families are having 4-5.
Within the next 10-15 years half of most European contries will be approx half Muslim.
Look at what happened this past year in Paris with the Muslim youth riots. Because no one in the Muslims will do or say anything about these events, they will only help perpetuate them.
My numbers may be a little skewed, but the premise is correct.

I think you are on to something....it's called genocide. But seriously, you are right. Something needs to be done. There needs to be a grass roots movement within Islam to root out these radical sects and individuals. Go after the same children that the radicals are targeting, but with messages of peace and tolerance. Simply stated, it is NOT being done. It is being spoken about, written about and some brave souls have "condemned" the behavior, but bottom line is nothing is being done to STOP it. Until there is a worldwide push to eradicate radical Islam, it will continue flourish.

This notion that Islam can't live alongside or within the rest of the world is hooey, and it's not supported by history.

The problems with Islam we have today, and we do have some very serious problems with a small percentage of Muslims, is geopolitical in nature rather than religious. There is a relationship for sure, but the root cause is not religion.

Perhaps the single worst mistake you and I could make is to blame Islam for these issues as it only pushes more moderates to the violent fringe.

The only idiological war we should be waging against rogue Muslim nations is economic...for that is the real religion that binds all nations for the coming future.
