Breachway Blues

Charlestown Breachway in a full Bluefish Blitz this afternoon. Choppers in the 10-12 lb range attacking peanut bunker as they were swept east into the rip out front of the Breachway. Every 5-10 minutes the rip would turn black with bait and the Blues would rip into them. Great afternoon on the rocks! Should be more of the same unless the wind turns SE.

Chris, gotta love them blues at the breachway! The most surprising thing about your photo is it looks like there's hardly anybody there fishing Been there on the blitzes elbow to elbow, but its always a blast. Do they charge to get in off-beach hours?

Bill, I think it was the NE winds, small craft advisory(flat calm) that scared eveyone away. I checked the weather reports and thought it was snotty thats why I'm on the rocks and not the boat. Sometimes you get lucky! We had so many fish that a crowd of tourists gathered and we were letting their kids reel in the fish. Pretty funny seeing a 10 yr old wrestle a blue outta that rip We'll be seeing these two out there with their korkers in a few years.

Angry

NE winds have dirtied the water and broken up the bait. Went to the Breachway last night and had only one whack. Water is really cloudy and lots of weed on the East side.
