I have some vacation days left that I would like to use fishing, what month do you s-b members feel is the best time to put in that extra time on the surf looking for stripers.

I like Septober too. Side note, my last big fish was the second week of November at the C-Town breachway at a deceptively small size of 28 pounds (It looked much bigger that night)...

Ice & CH-

That's my schedule too....although the last couple of years the first few weeks of Oct has still been great on the Cape. Seems as if the migration has slipped back a week or two on the calendar.

At any rate, by the second weekend of Oct I'm all RI, all the time.
