It's never too early for pumpkin!
One of my favorite all around breweries is Long Trail. Got the chance to stop in the brewery for lunch and do the self guided tour this past weekend and guess what they (and I) had? Pumpkin beers! Had the Imperial Pumpkin (brewmasters series) with lunch, picked up 2 bottles to go home with along with a six of the regular pumpkin! Wishing I had bought a case.....

Kinda funny...I've been pissin and moanin that the pumpkin is out to early. the first one came out in July this year and I was saying that I'm still in Summer mode...Pumpkin to me is for September/October.
That being said I do love a good pumpkin ale....

when i took a tour of red hook the guy said sam adams pretty much dictates the seasons. When their seasonal goes out, you best have yours ready or your profit margin is going to take a hit.

The liquor store I go to said that most breweries were at least a month early this year. Was disappointing to me, being a fan of the summer ales but not liking the pumpkins.
The misses drinks them out of a frosty glass with a cinnamon/sugar rim.

I noticed the Smashed Pumpkin was already on display at the store last Sunday when I was stocking up for the the week. I didn't end up buying any because I'm still not through trying all the summer seasonals, though. Oddly enough, I hate pumpkin flavor in food but like some of the pumpkin brews.

Guess my love of the pumpkin goes beyond the norm......Last year I bought three cases of the Dogfish Punkin so I would have enough to take care of my cravings until the next years batch came out. I planned it perfectly with a couple 4 packs left to date!

I love the Shipyard too but it's too early IMO, it's not sweatshirt weather yet. On the other hand, I get all tingly when the spring beers come out in February.

Just had the Sam Adams Fat Jack. Imperial Pumpkin that weighs in at 8.5% ABV. Good but not great. I'd rather do the Smashed Pumkin or the Pumpking first though.

Pumpking seems to take the cake year in and year out for me in this category... For true PUMPKIN beers (not fall beers) This year I tried the Long Trail Brewmaster series pumpkin and really enjoyed it. Do they distribute their non BS pumpkin beer? I've never had it, just the harvest (yum!)

Scratch- yes they are distributing the non BS pumpkin but they have just come out with it this year as far as I know. When we went to the brewery in August they said they had just bottled the week before. I have only seen it in one store so far so it may be spotty trying to find it.
