To me, that's a no doubt photoshop job and it's not even a good one... but I'm not a digital imaging expert so who knows.

I am just speculating, but a few things have me calling this bluff:
That chick is holding onto the heavy end of a 100lb fish and looks way too comfortable
There are no other pictures than this grainy one. In this day and age where a gopro can capture 4k images in a package smaller than most point and shoot cameras, I would think there would not only be more images, but higher quality ones too.

There was a rumor about this fish floating around Sunday. I was at a cookout and one of my nephews told me he heard about a bass that was longer than the world record but only weighed 55#.
|
No boat, back in the suds.

That wasn't a rumor it was caught on a boat in nj by a young lady trolling a bunker spoon. Fish was 3" longer than myersons but had just spawned and weighed 56lbs. Pic is easy to find on the web

I keep saying the same thing about Sasquatch, UFO's and my buddy's girlfriend. I can take excellent photos in pitch black, at moving targets with my phone but nothing that ever seems unreal is ever taken cleanly.

If it was a record fish it would be all over the place by now. As far as the graininess of it. I have taken pictures in a misty environment that I hoped would come out but with an af lense the focus gets all messed up simply due to it has no idea what to focus on. And most don't play with the settings to adjust for ambient light and atmospheric conditions. Regardless if it is real it is a whopper

The picture just doesn't look real... I can't put my finger on why though. Her hand all the way to the right of the photo has a lot to do with it. She doesn't seem to me supporting much... neither does his on the other side, which has their middle hands supporting the majority of a beast of a fish.
I kinda want this to be real, but I want more pics to drool over if it is!

Rod looks funky, it disappears over the fish by his right shoulder.
Haha, that perch pic looks legit though.

Not real (in my view).
Fish that size would have their hands pushing more in from the belly.
Funny how the rod goes from in front of his thigh but behind his shoulder???
The surf perch look legit too!!!

That's was what gave it away to me. Go out and try to lift something that heavy while you have a fishing rod pinned between your arm and the side of your body. Why would anyone even try?

The thing with this picture is you can see his forearm at the rear of the fish, a fish smaller then that should be resting on his forearm not in his palm.

Not to mention, when you hold something heavy you don't splay your fingers out like you're trying to catch a roast beef sandwich! You hold them together to help support the weight. Further, there is no dark shadow on their bodies from the flash and the fish would have to be frozen for them to hold the belly with virtually no sag like that... it's seems so obvious... and I think his index finger and middle finger are the same finger pasted on twice... but what do I know.

Maybe the only thing to believe in are those e-mails which go to SPAM folder saying this guy from Nigeria has $25 million to give me?

Probably took a $20 Walmart white rod special to reel it in to!
