Got the crap beat out of us anchored all night in rough seas, no sleep at all.
Fish hit at 7:00 am or so, and it took us 7 hours to stick it!
up top for an hour, then down deep for an hour, then up top for an hour, then down deep. Just would NOT fcking DIE!
Dragged us out in that rippin' current, for 6 friggin miles into Wilkinson basin. Out to 600 feet of water. kind of crazy to be into the backing looking straight down for an hour at a time. we swear he was down in that cold water just laughing at us. I said he's probably going to STARVE to death! that's how we'll get him. Jon fought him about 3 hours then I for an hour then Jon again for an hour , then I again for an hour.
FINALY came up tail first and I harpooned him right in the ahole. friggin FLIPPED OUT!! broke the mainline at the crimp. Now I have him by the harpoon line and he bolts!. had Jon clip another ball on the line quick and let him go. 7 friggin hours on him and I let the line just slip out of my hands into the deep attached to the ball. My heart sinks! NOw we're watching the balls go "Doink, Doink"" up and down for an hour. Finally think he's had enough and go pick up the line. Hauled him up 150' by hand I swear it musta weighted a 1000 pound there. get the tailrope on him and he bolts again. Jon Drops to his arse and braces his feet up on the gunnels hanging on for dear life. Finally I take a wrap around the bit and jam the boat in gear. GAME OVER BIATCH!!!
High fives and breakfast at 3:30 pm as we drag his ass back 6 miles to the anchor..

Just saw the details, what else can you say but WOW! Great fight Mike & Jon and I hope you never find cause to stick it up my *SS and hold on. Can't wait to get the GoPro video so I can edit....since I know GoPro's won't last 7 hrs, what end of the fight did you film?
