Life raft, survival suits,3 batteries,60 gallon livewell,8 rods,120 gals of gas,2 litres of cherry coke and 2 old guys . Did I mention the peanut butter and crackers for lunch

I'll be out tomorrow somewhere on the southern/eastern bank area. Give a shout on 68 "Buzz". I'll be really all if I can boat a 57-59", although my lifetime best of a >73" won't be without !

Not good out there this weekend. we saw one small fish caught. Had one swing and a miss. Few whales. Should be improved by next week. Kinda looking like a 09 repeat.

No fish here either, one takedown may have been a bass or small tuna on the mack but that was the day. May try seal fishing soon seems to be quite a few out there, any ideas on leader size and bait preference

I must have traveled 100 miles scouting and trolling and saw no signs of tuna. We were out looking by 5:30AM and spots were void of boats (I think we were the 1st out there), came back a couple hours later and the spot was filled with boats and still no tuna? Did I miss the party?

They must be killing em with all these bad reports
I'm finally getting out tomorrow on the hunt for cod/haddock , looks like a bluebird day, which usually means a tough day for tuna, but we'll have the gear if their around.

Yup, same (nothing landed) for me. Hit it hard all day saturday covering tons of ground over a 9 hr period. All lower 1/3 of Stellwagon around the backside to golf ball, in and out 7 miles. Didn't see one whale or any birds working.
Plenty of bass in & around Race Pt but tuna was prime target.

Steve how did you and Jeff do?
We kept to the SWC and the Notch Saturday trying to save gas.
No birds, no bait, no marks.
Of course I had plenty of bait and my 3 rod spread looked beautiful. When the fish show up there will be no bait.

My 12 knots gets me there in about 12 hrs.
Look up Mayo Swell on a chart. About 50-60 miles east of P-town.

Was out on a charter on Sunday and had a slow morning looking for tuna but was distracted for about an hour with acres and acres of bass. After we got our fill on bass, we headed out again looking for tuna. We ended up finding them but only had a chance at them for about 5 minutes before the fish sounded and were gone. We casted at them, through them but no touch. I was shaking with excitement til we hit the docks. This was my first experience tuna fishing and have caught the bug. Already trying to figure out when I can get out again. Heard from our captain that some large fish were hooked the past few days and a 90+" fish was lost at the boat.

Yesterday was a good day. Lots of fish. Caught and lost fish boatside. Staightend hooks at boat while measuring fish. Close to 80''. Great fight, and best of all was it was the 1st fish on MY Custom Rod I built. It didnt break in 2 and felt good. All in all a great DAY!!!
