Mitchell Nautil...Bail post removal.

I just wanted to make sure this didn't get buried, but I wanted to know where this post that people were cutting off is in the reel. I would really like to do this as I flip the bail manually anyway. Do I need to take it apart? It it on the post the spool goes on?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nautil 7500 has a stem sticking up which trips the bail. Ya can't miss it.
The 6500 trips internally.

D'oh - I've got a 6500. Looks like I'm going bailless. Thanks.
