Today is a perfect day to fish. Light west winds of about 40-50 which should blow ALL the fish back to the Cape & Islands and give us consistent fishing until the new year.
Don't we wish............

Trout fishing is getting really good. I have been trolling with live shiners and the mini-downriggers and doing well. Best Trout fishing of the year right now as far as I am concerned.

Holy mackerel are being caught at the canal or try Cambridge Reservoir for big large mouth bass from the southern most road off Rt. 128. You better check with Waltham Police Department if you could fish there.

You can buy ready made rig from a local store or Kmart. The rig has few hooks with bright red, yellow or florescent green surgical tube attached vertically with 3oz sinker in the bottom.
After you cast, bring back the rig by slow jigging motion or sweeping motion.
I made my own rigs and it is very easy to make. All you need to know is how to make a dropper loop.
There are whole bunch of guys at Sandwich Harbor catching makerel these days.
