Hewitts Cove

Keeping my boat this winter at Hewitts, but its not getting pulled until Dec. I am considering going out on Sat to hit some cod. New to this area and I dont really know where to go. The only place I know is out in front of Deer Island in the North Channel. Is there a closer place I should go to...... Any help would certainly be appreciated. I have a full boat otherwise, I would invite some of you experts to come along. Good luck to all.....

Try any of the ledges around Boston Light. ie; Ultonia Ledge, Boston Ledge, Martins Ledge, Thieve's, 3 1/2 Fathom, etc. All possibilities for inshore Cod.

Hey Tacklebox7, if you are heading out the north channel, you should try Nahant, it is the land you see in the distance to your left as you come out of the channel. Try the 65 ft range and do some drifts. We caught 12 keepers there the other day.
