Anybody Get Their Fisherman Magazine Last Week?
Just curious if anybody got their copy of The Fisherman last week? It usually shows up on the stands around me on Wednesday, but it never showed up! This was last week so it had nothing to do with snow! Went out today and could not find this weeks yet either? Is there a problem with the magazine?

Yeah...I think your right Goose, doesn't everyone? Slip your right, but the two issues they don't put out are the week of Christmas and the week of New Years! Did any of you guys receive one last week?

I didn't get mine either, but I think they skip some issues in December, check the fine print in the publishing info in the last issue

I remembered finding this after not getting mine at one point:
Page 3 of Nov 6 issue: "The NEW ENGLAND FISHERMAN is published weekly, except for two weeks in December by the N.E.F. Publishing Corportation...."

That is the last two weeks in December for like the third time, and for the fifth time, has anyone gotten theirs or even laid eyes on last weeks issue. Did anyone get a Fisherman magazine last week, yes or no? Christian...we need ice to go ice fishing! I will let you know when it is time to go!

The fisherman always gets a little weak around the winter months. They have some great articles now and then and a larger double Xmas issue (I think).
I enjoy getting it all season. My only complaint is that they don't have an archive of all the older issues online. I would be willing to pay a second subscription price to be able to search for certain past articles and then download them. I use to save them but I always miss placed or lost the issue and they took up a lot of space and it was a pain to look thru each one seeking that article I remember reading 3 or 4 seasons ago.
Also, from a log standpoint it would be interesting to go back as well all look at past reports for certain places/weeks. It is such a shame cause there was a LOT of good stuff in there and it is lost forever if you can't acess it.
(hint...I HOPE THEY DO THIS!)

Sandman, do you have to be a member to surf on the fisherman website? I opened the website address and it isn't there.

I just got off the phone with the Fisherman office in Mystic. They told me that there was no Dec. 4th issue and that the Dec 11 issue will be a double issue and also the last issue of the year.

I bet that is for internal (publishing) use. I have never heard about a web site for users...It would be a GREAT idea to have that info and past online!
I don't know what the publishing rights are on those articles are and that might be a sticking point but as I said I for one would be willing to pay for the ability to search for past issue articles.

I would also although I did keep all back issues since 94. Last winter were we going to move so I went through every issue and cut out articles I wanted to keep. Ended up with 3 big 3 ring binders full. Never did move either.
