Question backing for ledcore

I'm thinking about loading my 309's with ledcore do you put a mono backing on them or not, if so what lb. test is enough 20 or 25, I got some of that Stren Super Braid 80 lb test 20lb. dia.

Talking No use spectron backing

I would use spectron backing about 50lb test and tie direct in wich way you chouse. then tie a 3ft mono leader on the end of the lead core..

i use a super braid backing on 45 lb test lead core tied direct to the leadcore

does it matter what color the backing is? i would think so but ya never no??

I use green spot 80# braided dacron for backing on my lead and wire reels.. I also use 10' sections inbetween 100' on my wire reel.
