a couple questions for the plug makin' gurus
an online place to buy plug makin' goodies?
i need eyes. not just stickers, but good eyes.
any sugestions for lifelike eyes?
what are you painters using to make the scale patterns in the paint?
some type of screen?cloth?
how do you bend 316L stainless wire?
i can do a barrel wrap on 308 buy hand. but the 316 is going to need tools.

I've been buying most of my stuff from njtackle.com and #^^^^^^^^^^^&.com. You can get some basic terminal tackle at other places, but there are very few sites that carry surf plug supplies.

Nice Plug !
For Scales I use the plastic mesh from the front of an onion bag.
It seems to work ok and it's cheap.
Good luck

Roundnose pliers works good on the wire.

I'm by no means a guru but if you keep the tail wire long enough, and grab the loop with some vice grips its pretty easy to do the twist by hand.
also check out stamina inc. , Netcraft, Moores Lures and of course njtackle and salty..
For realistic eyes check out a taxedermy website... bird or reptile eyes look like they would work.
woops 316l is thick... no hands there... sorry

I use 316L and do the wrap with my hands. Not everyone can though.

thanks for the help guy's
i made a jig with a piece of presure treated plank, and a couple old 3/16" broken drill bits pounded in,,, for the 308 wire.
i need to bend the 316L, into somewhat of this configuration.
