Basic Plugs to Carry

I'm gearing up for the season and trying to fill a Plug bag up w/ some essentials. Problem is I don't know what the essentials are. What are some of the basics I should carry?

Look at it like this. Someone has stolen ALL of your plugs. The stripers are a month away and you need to gear up. What would you make sure you had in your bag.

Not looking for all of the secrets just the basics.

Since the bass will be chasing herring first, I would start with

1 GS Slammer, olive
2 Gags mambo - olive
3 Pikies and dannys
4 poppers - pencils etc.

also I would have some jigs and some skinjigs and kastmasters

5 then needles
6 Yozuri mag darters
7 Tattoo or beachmaster or superstrike darters
8 Bombers
9 don't forget the Mr. Wigglys
10 Surfster

It all depends on where and when you are fishing. I change my plugbag all the time depending on where I fish.

my night bag-
two 7" black mambo's-switch the hooks for VMC 3/0
7" rebel swimmer, gold/black, mackeral -VMC hooks
homemade needlefish-or ss needles
black wooden plugs-danny's and assorted customs
yellow wooden plugs
teasers

my day bag-
2 1/2 oz polaris popper-white/blue
3 1/2 oz polaris popper (when they're waaaay out there)
2 oz hammered hopkins
2 oz kastmasters
yellow pencil popper
white or yellow wooden swimmers
deadly #^&#^&#^&#^&s
leadheads with some plastics in a ziploc baggie

early season I don't carry my bag-just a small plano box in my pocket with schoolie stuff-plastics and leadheads-and a small popper or two

Is it good, or is it Sofa King good?

Great Info here. I am trying to get to the point of having a Day bag and a Night bag. Right now I just have the one. I like the Color info as that will help me start out. This is what I have in it right now.

Gibbs 2 oz. Pencil Popper Blue/White
Gibbs 2 oz. Pencil Popper Pink/White
Gibbs 1 3/4 oz. Needlefish Black/Purple
Salty 1 oz Stubby Needlefish Black/Purple
Salty 2.5 oz. Needlefish Blue/White
Salty 2.5 oz. Sea-gar Electric Blue/Chartruese
Habs 1.5 oz. (I think) Stubby Needlefish White
Atom 1 1/4 oz. Striper Swiper Blue/White
Atom 7/8 oz. Pencil Plug Black
Gag's 7" Mambo Minnow Black

As well as 9" slug-gos in Eel, 9" Ledgerunners in Black/Purple, asst Bucktail Jigs, Kastmasters, Crippled Herrings. Anything else you guys would want to add to this? I'm all ears

B'days coming and the wife wants to know what I want. I figured I could use this as an opportunity to round out the bag.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
