Congrats on breaking the ice!! What were you using?

What do the local tackle shops say about the best fishing style in your area? I'm sure there must be some way that your local shops and a board like this can help you along.

Another thing to consider, many SW fishing clubs have a junior division where younger anglers like yourself meet new anglers and learn more about fishing your waters...

o yeah forgot one thing. i have really been casting ALOT better. i am getting much more distance then i was gettin last year. there is the rock pile that i couldn reach last year i was casting like 30 yards infront of it and couldnt get it out to the rockpile. well yesterday i casted out and it landed right next to the rockpile about 10-12 yards horizontal from it, and then about 10 minutes later i take a glance over from my plug that i was workin and i see the rod bendin down like a marlin had just hit it. personally i wa a little disappointed with my fish even though he was a small schoolie he didnt take out any line off the spool and my drag was really loose too, are all schoolies like this or do alot of them put up a ok fight?
