Do you have a firewall? You could block smtp traffic from that address.

Angry

Scott, he is a car salesman at Clair Motors. His first name is Mike and obviously he has a lot of time on his hands as he is now at 2000 posts on the other board and he has been on only about a year. He lives in Onset. What a pita!

Why even try.........

I work at a different location than the IP address but I`ve called them to see if there is anything they can do.

My name is Michael Choate and viruses are common and rampant....I`m sorry but I didn`t do something wroing here.

And thanks Flap....you are always there for me. Pita yourself.

I'm fighting off the sasser.b virus at work myself. It's insane, 5 of our production servers got infected with it over the weekend.

It's easy to disinfect though, just run stinger.exe from www.nai.com and then run the patch off windowsupdate and you're pimpin' clean...

I`m not the carrier for the virus

Golden sorry for your problems but...

Golden....my home puter is free and my work station is free.... any of this Luv virus is coming from servers at Clair International so it probably didn`t come from me but if you want to jump on the bandwagon of blame help yourself.

There are a bunch of virus thingies going around right now. A lot of those "Undelivered Message"/"Returned Mail" type. I've gotten a bunch lately and I'm pretty sure I'm not in skitter's address book. All kinds of address spoofing going on, both with viruses and spammers. Add the two together, and you have a mess. hard to track where you got the crap. If you want someone to blame, blame the aholes that write this crap and the spammers who continually flood your inbox I'd like to slice them up and feed them to bluefish.

Now, about that 50 that skitter caused me not to catch

Not sure how many of you are aware of this, but there appears to be a virus "war" going on with two competing factions trying to out do the other. That's why it's been so rampant. And you need a decent amount of tools to track down where something really came from...

i originally thought this might have come form that other site. i don't know who it came from exactly; but there are viruses that get under the normal firewalls; and some people can be affected without knowing it, because it doesn't show up in the anti-virus software. Salty - i'll have to check my emails again - planning on swimming some buggers this weekend, in the rain. should be a real good tide were i'm going, high tide at dawn, good drop.
