First keeper on Wood!!!

I'm usually not one to talk about my catches, but I need to share this with someone Today I caught my first keeper ever while using wood plugs!!! I've gotten plenty of keepers in the past, just never one on wood, and never one that meant as much as this fish did. I've been trying religiously for two years to get one on wood, and today was the lucky day. She was 36", caught and released in great health.

Bigfish, thanks for the wood lesson the other day bud, I owe it all to you!!! I think I'll name my next child after you or something

Nice going S-Journey....give yourself a big pat on the back! Best way to catch fish during the day as far as I am concerned. Name your next born after me! "Something" does not have a good ring to it! Keep up the "wood" work!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

good for you

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Mind if I ask what kind of plug you were using and what type of water you were fishing? I've been trying wood for the 1st time this year and so far the biggest challenge I've had is trying to figure out what conditions to throw what plugs.

you know..what to throw in the suds, what to throw in the rips, What to throw when there's a chop ar when its like glass.

TDF....the secret word is pencil poppers.....I like to fish Gibbs 1 ounce-2 ounce with a bucktail siwash on the rear.......virtually any area and conditions, they slam fish and are an absolute blast to catch fish on....the most fun you can have with your waders on!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I have a couple in the bag. I'll have to give them a try. I've been tossing needles in the surf and Darters in the rips. I may head out at lunch for a few and see what's up. I think I'll try a Pencil popper or 2 and see what happens.
