best fish landing adventure won or lost!!!!

my roomate laid into a huge fish in the north river that ended up getting wraped around a mooring ball.. he swam out ONTHE DROPPING TIDE grabbed the ball pulled himself down the chain and undid his line whyle I stayed onshore and eventaully landed the fish! when he let go of the ball and began swimming back to shore he ended up 75 yds down river on the shore and walked back happier than I have ever seen. HE WON!!
I laid into 1 in in the ditch and she started smokin line out on me i climbed the rocks and proceded to make my way to the end of the jetty but she was taking more line than I was giving by walking because I didn't want to loose presure/contact with the fish and give her slack.I went all the way to the end and tried to turn her. I was past the fence thats how far I went!!! nothin doin'...... spooled and snapped my 50lb leader like sewing thread ....I lost
I have had 2 fish haul on me like that and that one takes the cake

CATCHIN A 50 IS LIKE GETTIN POISON IVY ON YOUR MANHOOD..........IT TAKES A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU CAN BEAT IT!!!!

your roommate is a nut. I seen Jose on ESPN jump out of the boat to unhook a tarpon but swimming in the northriver and going down the chain maybe he can reenact it for ESPN
