First 30lber this year

Took my first fish over 30lbs this year tonite, and broke off another good one in the canal. Eels.

I know I didnt find any friday night . maybe cause I didnt listen to the camper guy that said I am wasting my time at pips and I should be all the way out on the jetty using crabs . why are you casting so far and letting it drift out ? " your wasting your time kid . go out on the rocks at the end .

Congratulations on your milestone.
That's a decent fish to pull out of the canal right now

Seems like this bad pattern we've been getting into earlier every year might be starting real early this year JP Fish for 3 -4 hours and get 1 or 2 bites but those hits usually come from a large bass.
BTW Jim, have you noticed the fry coming out?

July and Aug. are usually my best months in the canal for 30-40s
