It's the WEEKEND! Plans?
Since nobody wanted to pick on David, I decided to beat John to the punch. Who's doing what?
Midnight tides this weekend, so I'll be hitting the sand around 11 either Saturday or Sunday night. Other than that, more weeding, mowing the lawn, and just hanging around relaxing. Oh yeah, cleaning the fish I catch.
Good luck to all, whatever your endevours.

Fishing of some sort, maybe Canal tonight or Rhody Sat night. Mow grass, close up the pool, Fire Truck parade in Harrisville Sunday around 11. Possibly reapir my "protest to high gas prices" muffler. Cut and remove firewood from my dad's yard. Take kids to beach, who knows after grass cutting everything else is flexible.

After the week from H*ll, I'm looking forward to fishing a couple times over the weekend. Tomorrow morning for sure, and I'm still waiting on Schoolie to advise if he's in or out, if in then we know what his plans are. If he's out, who else might want to feel the wind in the face so to speak...lol.
After reading S.M. boston harbor post on the reports board, it would appear he's definately out for tomorrow morning, so who's got the itch?

Going to the parents to chill in CT. Will fish Pennfield Reef, and Hammonaset State Park (Meigs Point), maybe Charlie if my brother wants to drive there? Seems, when we make this trip we hit Foxwoods as well - don't know if this is good or bad? Tight lines to all...

I'll be fishing tonight. We are hoping the fishing picks up. Its about time. I'm still ripping up my house and repairing it so there's plenty of work to do. Going to the Woodstock CT fair on Sunday. Oh yeah , almost forgot , making a bunch of skin jigs Sunday with Smokey. We need to make at least 4 dozen to keep our friends supplied and have a dozen left over for me and Smokey.
Iceman when I lived in CT I liked to fishing eels near Dolly Madison this time of year.
John andFfishpart. Smokey and I are considering a double header this weekend with the first at the canal Friday. If you guys are going out Sat , send an email and maybe we can meet up. Its pretty iffy we can pull it off but we would like to if everything works out well.

Saltheart - Due to, uh, scheduling constraints, I think we're staying pretty local Saturday night... Ever fish Beavertail from shore?

Mr. GS,
I sent a long winded reply on the other thread, but the down and dirty is if no one else steps up to the plate, I'm about 80% sure I'm in. I just won't be sure till this evening.
I already checked with the wife and she doesn't care when we head down to Eastham. When I talked to my friend, he was planning on getting up and leaving early as they are just passing thru after a vacation up in Maine.
If that's his plan, my prescence is not necessary in the am and I would be OK... I'll check my mail when I'm home and we'll touch base.
Mr. SM

Ok then, your the man, here's the plan; I'm a poet and I don't know it . I've backing off the 4:30 usual start, since the weather might be iffy still in the early am. I'm planning on being at the Scituate ramp at about 5 am, that way at least it will be a little lighter. You know the way (same place you met me before), but if you need a refresher course let me know and I will pop you an email.
I'm planning on a big plastic day, but hoping some popper action might be called for if bass are busting (slow to develop this year), but the freshening NW winds might be the wild card, plus any T-storms at the tail end of the front don't like them. I hope we miss that kind of action, but I hope it doesn't get too windy, since I had to duck inside last weekend with the C-digger. If it does, I will just pull out and launch up in Hingham anyway. Call me at my business number, I will email you my cell phone number, reply with yours.

Ok, I pretty much remember the route, but why don't you email me the directions to be safe. Include your cell# and I'll bring mine as well in case something crazy happens in the AM. I'll reply with my cell number.
I'll call you this evening to confirm... like I said, I'm about 80% right now... and the more I think about those fish, the more sure I get. I'll let you know for sure as soon as possible.
Talk to ya asap.

Since I forget where your coming from, let's start from the Braintree split, picking up RT 3 south towards the Cape. Get off at the RT53/RT123 exit, same as the Hanover Mall and turn left on RT53 at the end of the ramp. At the lights a mile up, turn right on RT123 to Scituate, about a 10-15 minute drive from there you will hit a light at the RT123/RT3A intersection. Turn left on RT3A north, at the next light near church on right, turn right towards Scituate Harbor. At the commons bear left, and two lights down turn left at the Harbor, ramp is a few hundred yards up on your right. I emailed you my numbers, so call me later, although I'm all set to go.
Cleaned out 8 of the deadest, slimmyest eels from last weekend, man what a smell. No problem, since eels haven't been the ticket in a long time, wierd the early morning eel bite never really happened this year. No doubt a bigger concentration of fish, hense some real competition, might have gotten things going. See you in the morning SM.
