What a way to cap off a skunkin
Well, technically I didn't get skunked but I doubt anyone else counts snapper blues and dogfish
Driving home at 2:30am and pass a cop going 10 over. He flips around and pulls me over. Can't find the registration...He calls to have it looked up.
Of course I forgot to renew it. I bought out a leased vehicle and they never sent me the freaking paperwork
So they wrote me a ticket for 5 over and then tell me they have to tow my car because of the registration.
I'M 4 F'IN BLOCKS FROM HOME
So the cop gives me a ride home with 2 ten foot surf rods sticking out the side of his cruiser
At least the Sox won

Sorry to hear about that Spence.
On a good note, Eria caught a 30" bass on the needle fish he got from you.

Clocked me on main road coming around the bend just before Bridgeport seafood. Pulled me over just before the dip to Riverside drive.
I don't think he wouldn't have given me a ticket if it wasn't for the registration coming up expired, since it would have been on record that the dispacher checked into it.
Got the registration fixed today. All this cause the state didn't get their lousy 43 bucks

I'm assuming it was a Tiverton cop and not a Statie? No difference I guess, still sucks.

Last year, heading to the Narrow River, I got pulled over right at The Narrag. beach parking lots. I thought the cop was giving me grief for pulling into the lot so I was pretty agressive. I was doing 49 in a 25, he wacked me with a 315 ticket. I got skunked that night too.

I'll have to watch out driving down that way...
That sucks Spence! Sorry to hear that happened.
I got nabbed once many years ago and had to pay 100.00 to have my truck towed back to the house from the other end of the street I lived on!
I'll never forget the jerk cop who wrote me up.
I'd salute him today if I ever saw him!
What a jerk!

To be fair to the cops I did somehow fail to register last year
I don't think they had a choice though. Once they ran my plates it would have been on record that an unregistered car was on the road, so I can sort of understand why they have to ticket me to cover their rears.
I heard the judge will likely toss the violation for the registration since I fixed it asap...that would help at least.
I think the net damage is only about 165 bucks and a few points.
And I pretty much missed a 1/2 day of work getting my car back
Hard to believe but this is actually my first speeding ticket EVER!

yeah i was going down pawtucket, i think down pleasant or something, and the cops nabbed me going 38 in a 25mph and i was like, everyone's going faster than me, but alas, i had mass plates on so i probably was singled out... but i fought it and found out RI has this law where if you aint got priors in 3 years, they'll let this first ticket go...
and i got got priors since i first got my license so my record is still sparkling clean...
