Talking I have seen the light

and it is a Vanstaal

I broke my new VS250 in this morning on a 32 inch bass...nothing huge, but big enough to show me what the drag is like on this reel. man oh man, this reel is worth every penny. After being such a 704 fan for so long and making the switch, there is no comparison. My 704's are all going in the dumpster.

Hmmm.........Van Staal....well, I guess it's alright as long as ya don't take up fly-fishing, Eben

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
