canal vs. beach powerpro question

I was wonderin what # test power pro is best for the surf and the canal. Is there one you guys think can work for both? That is some expensive stuff. I looked at old posts and everyones opinions vary... Do any of you guys fish both locations with the same # test. Thanks.

I have been happy using 50# for both. I don't jig the ditch much, so I do not have a special setup. And I like the slightly heavier thread for the beach. I find the 30# or less to light and end up with wind knots.

Keep lines wet and tight in the pacific
