a friend told me today that he slaughtered the bass along the shore at Cranes Beach Sunday night!! He had over 20 fish over 40" casting live eels!!!!

My son had been fishing Cranes the last 5 days getting big fish also!!!! They were trolling eels at low tide!!! he was saying they seem to bite at low tide to an hour or so after!!!!

It was brutal out front of the break water Saturday as you know!!! I went thru them heavy seas with a charter!!!! My buddy that also had a charter turned around at the breakwater and cancelled his charter!!!!

As soon as we came through the bridge I knew it was going to be tough! On the other hand thats one of the nice things about cape ann....if its rough on one side most often its nice on the other side......

As it turned out we had a great day with lobsta for dinner. I will be out again this weekend weather permitting. Are you going to be around?

I may go offshore if its nice......

If I don't have a charter this weekend I'm going to try and get my tuna gear together and get up in the bay!!!

They have been catching some nice commercial grade fish!!!

Tuesday a friend of mine had one that dressed over 700+ lbs.!!!
