Red Sox' Animal House has found their Bluto
Dave Wells signs for 2 years. With incentives, deal could reach 8-9 million a year.

It doesn't really matter now does it. The Sox staff just got that much older and that much more prone to injury. Wells will be 42 in May, and has a two year deal. Matt Mantei is or was a great setup man but he's coming off a serious injury.
Meanwhile, the evil empire picked up both Jared Wright(around 30 I think) as well as Carl Pavano(29). And the Yanks had another key signing but I'll have to look that one up.
Edgar Renteria? We will see what today brings at the winter meetings.
