Sticky: Fund Raiser for Don M of King Cove Outfitters

Many of you know Don M of King Cove Outfitters has been battling cancer for quite some time. Don is a great guy, is a strong supporter the site and is great to all the members. I would like to organize a raffle fundraiser to help him offset his medical bills. Some of our members have donated some really nice prizes. They will be raffled off in groups as listed. You can make donations through Pay-Pal and PM either John R or Fishpart to let them know you made a donation, you can also mail donations to: Lineside Technologies PO Box 9183, Warwick, RI 02889.

The raffle will run through the 22nd of February

Tickets will be $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00.

So far we have these donations for prizes:

John R---------- 2 Rods 9 foot and 8 foot, Wrapped by Goose
4 Plugs - Large Gibbs Pencils/SuperStrike Popper/Darter

Fishweewee---Newell P-Series Reel

Got Stripers---A $75.00 shopping spree redeemable for Ledge Runner Baits.

MAC------------- Three Beautiful Swimming Plugs and a sweet Needlefish

Slipknot--------Three Beautiful Needlefish Plugs

Karl F-----------Plugs

Bernzy----------Plugs

Fishpart-------Service two reels

Bigfish---------Two Plugs

Afterhours - some PLugs

Don is a class guy and has been helping people out from this site since practically day one. Many of you know him as he has hosted all of our Rhody Leg events in the 4 Leg Tourneys and has always put his best forward for our members.

I'm donating a 9' Custom Surf Rod and I'll know in a few days if I can sweeten the pot by adding an 8' Custom Spinning Rod (if I can get things together).

I will also be donating 4 LARGE Gibbs Plugs, new in package.

Can we use the donate button at the bottom of the pages here on the site or do we need your specific email addresses to send in the cash?

And because we are all tackle afficianatos (sp?), give us the details on this (or these) rods? Make/Model etc?

I will be donating a 9' Batson 1088 (or 1089) with Fuji guides and seat, thread wrapped by Goose and epoxied by moi, an 8 foot Batson spinner with Fuji guides and seat, also wrapped by the Gooster and epoxied by me (efficiencies )

The 4 Gibbs plugs will likely be a some large pencils, a darter - need to see what I have in "inventory".

Yes - paypal on the site button is fine, please send a PM to me and Fishpart when you make a donation - thanks!

John

Sorry - no chance Goose will let you watch . I'm sure he will be doing it as time allows. He has a lot of work to do as well. I'll be doing my portion of it late at night too...

Thanks FFM - I'd say for now make it out to Linesider Technologies and put DonM Raffle in memo... I just received 2 checks from people and have a few PayPals for tickets.

Fishpart - we should get together soon to discuss some more of this ....

Thanks Megabyte!

For those that have not jumped on this one yet (and we haven't yet sold as many tickets as we thought we would) there is some seriously good stuff here for the Don M raffle!

Get on board and support a good friend to the people here!

Thanks,

John

John, Bill Ct surfcasters. Don is a great guy. Always helpful and knowledgable. He is one our clubs advertisers. I would like info on donations. We at the Ct. surfcasters will be donating a Mark Lucik hand drawn print. It's a drawing of an Albie. How can I arrange delivery or should I send it? Bill DeLizio
