COD TRIP
OK FGUYS AND GALS. FOR ALL YOU THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A COD TRIP OR A CHARTER BOAT SOME THINGS TO BRING.ROD AND REEL USELY 6 OR 7 FT ROD WITH 4/0 SENTOR OR SIMALER. YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO HIT 300 FT OR MORE SOME DRIFTS THE RECKS ARE THAT DEEP. YOU SHOULD DRESS WARM AND BRING EXTRA CLOTHS IN CASE YOU GET WET. REMBER ITS NOVEMBER NOT JULY. IT CAN GET VERY COLD OUT THERE. ALSO I TALK TO ANDY HE SAID THAT THIS TIME OF YEAR THE GALLY HAS ONLY A FEW ITEMS SO BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH BRING A COOLER . ITS ABOUT A TWO HOUR BOAT RIDE TO THE FISHING SPOT IT HAS A HEATED CABIN I DONT RECOMEND SNEAKERS. YOUR FEET ARE THE FIRST TO GET COLD WELL I HOPE I ANSWERD SOME QUESTIONS. I DO RECOMEND RENTING THERE GEAR LESS YOU HAVE TO BRING. AND FOR EVERYONE WHO GOES I WILL GIVE A FREE BAG OF FIVE COD TEASERS TOUSE AND HAVE

Sunday is better
Sunday is a better day for me.. Saturdays are hectic, but sundays are good play days. If it is Sunday, count me in. Give details on where to send money or call and reserve with credit card. Give the particulars and I'll check in tomorrow AM.
Thanks Chubsdad

I think Saturday is best in respect to those of Church & Football scheduling on Sundays....
OK - Any problem with 50 for the boat (ouch) and 7 for rod reel rental? (plus an optional 10 for the first & biggest pools )
Tell me if you are in so I can get things going....
Thanks,
John

Chubsdad, are you sure he said 24 minimum to book the whole boat. I have heard that usually 15-16 minimum would be needed to charter the boat.
Dress in layers people and bring coolers and bags for putting the fillets in. Sounds like fun.

IT IS $1200.00 TO BOOK THE WHOLE BOAT. TO KEEP IT AT 50.00 A PERSON IT WILL TAKE 24 PEOPLE . HE WILL TAKE UP TO 27. IF WE GET 27 THEN PRICE WILL DROP . SO THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS YES WE CAN TAKE 15 PEOPLE IF WE WANT BUT IT WILL COST MORE.WE CAN ALSO DO A OPEN BOAT WITCH MEANS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE . MEANING ANYONE WHO SHOWS UP THAT DAY CAN GO BUT IF YOUR NOT THERE BEFORE THEM AND IT FILLS UP YOU CANT GO. THATS WHY ITS BETTER TO BOOK THE WHOLE BOAT.

I think we get in as much trouble if we do it in December with the holidays on the way... Well, if this turns out to be a success (it will ) - We'll just need to do one in Feb and really freeze out butts off...
OK - Here's the tally:
Bloo
Slip
BM
Smokey
The Monster
RedCrbbr
The Mrs RedCrbbr
Yours truly
Fishpart
C-Ratt
Tattoo
The Mrs Tattoo
Striper1
Chubsdad
Jenn
Got Stripers
Squid Kid
Squid Kid's Dad
C.O.D.
Milo
179
--- Mike Ma****-- call me at home --- or on the cell
I do need to firm this list up, if anyone can't make that is on this list, let me know please on the other thread http://128.241.205.103/vbulletin/sho...&threadid=2150
Also let me know if you may have a buddy or two to round things out. It looks like we can fill the boat but being a not-profit website (as opposed to profitable) we can't eat any additional funds
BTW - What about weather dates and reschedules if it really snotty? What weather would stop them from running the trip?
Thanks....

BM - the boat is out of Plymouth Mass - right down the street from ya....
Saltheart, I wish you and Smokey could make it - besides why would you want to go some place warm and vibrant like Mexico when you can increase your joint pain on the Andy Lynn?

We would like to have gone.
For late season boating , I recommend the following.
Thermal shirt , cotton T shirt , heavy wool shirt , hooded sweatshirt , Waterproof windbreaker jacket or seperate windbreaker heavy jacket and a waterproof jacket over that. Lots of layers. Thermal long johns and jeans and 1 pair light sox , 1 pair heavy socks inside waterproof boots with Pac liners.
Top it all off with a woolen toke and woolen gloves (with or without finger slits).
You can always take stuff off.
Lots of drinking water and food like turkey sandwiches. Bring lots , you get very hungry and thirsty.
