Am I mental 2?

Friday night, was fishing with Knobby, Brother, 1 other guy (Chevy). Tried 4 bait shops throughout CT - No eels. No Freakin' eels anywhere, kind of put a damper on the fishing. Hit Pennfield Reef bouncing some lead-heads off the bottom - nothing going on. Brother and friend went home. Knobby and myself debated to hit gulf beach in milford or w. haven sandbar, but with no eels , why bother? Here's where story gets interesting.

We decided to go to Hammonasset State Park which closed on Halloween for the season. Gates were locked - certainly were not going to drive in. We parked @ a nearby restauraunt, put on the roller blades, rigged up with several backpacks, waders, korkers, poles, very heavy loads. Had no idea what to expect, could of got tossed by a patrolling ranger? whatever? Mind you I have fractuered an occassional law or two in my time. Proceeded to rollerblade 5 miles into park under the cover of night, went to Meigs point just when the rip was roaring with heavy surf. First cast - bam - gator blue. Proceeded to take approx. 20 gators out of the rip with Bombers, no bass however. Lost some good bombers b/c I refuse to use wire! Hoping BM or Tattoo will send me some plugs? Bass were probably there, just could not get deep enough. The rollerblade back was fun, wasn't tired at all - NOT. You gotta be in it to win it....

Hmmm...sounds like getting the idea to ride down to Scussett from the herring run....not a bad ride there...but after fishing 8 hours and stopping here and there....the ride back was HELL....

I mean that's what I hear anyway..

youd only be classified as mental if you got lost inside the park or caught no fish and a cold !
Did you try Dee's on clay st they have eels most all the time for .90 . They close at 9pm .
