Kudos to MSBA Show Volunteers
Spent a solid 6 hours at the show today! Bigfish and crew put on a great show. Lots of room, vendors to fill almost any need you have, great fun in the plug turning booth and lots of friends from S-B.com!! If you weren't planning on going tomorrow.....try to.
If you want to get Habs Needles from Mike at the M&D booth, get there early.
At the risk of not mentioning a few folks.... Slip, Capesam, and Mac had an audience the whole time I was there. Thanks guys.
RoyL was all over the place. What the article said was true, a real stand up guy! (Wait til you see his van!)
Saw the luckiest guy I know, Rick from Fore River Tackle. You might recall Fisherwoman asked for our prayers back in December? Well Rick had left Thailand the night before the tsunami!!!! Still he lost 5 friends and the experience has moved him.
Specialist, thanks for the racks. Four wil be installed tomorrow.
Clammer was taking Starfish into Victoria Secret I heard......
Got what I was looking for, rubbah from GS, teasers from Jules, and my Aquaskinz top!
GB, PM me when dates look good for you. Whadya know for a rental for the crew?
JohnR, your site has brought together many new friends for this fisherman. Thank you.
And to those I saw but didn't mention, my time is up!
Ross
PS
Blitz, that rig is gonna be killer of the boats!

Yes, It was a great show. The long line at opening moved very fast. Lots of good stuff to choose from. I came away with some new plugs, tins, and a new reel I didn’t know I needed. We stayed for three of the seminars, great job. A big thanks to all for the hard work and effort that made this happen. Job well done.
Now for some Spring Stripers.

To all the volunteers, Thanks for the show that always ushers in "Spring Fever"
Great seeing everybody and everything. Glad to talk to all I did, and sorry I missed some I wanted to see.
BBJ, to borrow your line, it truly was "Sensory Overload".
Tony, (Nib), you get the long distance award, you make a sweet plug, BFL, yer a lucky dude.
Too many folks, and too many things too list... Great Day, Thanks to all!

I was at the show as well! Great show, one of the best of the year! It was nice to see local shops selling product instead of places booking trips to lake ontario and maine (not that there si anything wrong with that!)
My buddy and I got there at 8:30 and there was no one in line. We walked the mall for a while and showed back up at 9:10 and we were like 20th in line. 5 mins later, the line was 3-4 hundred deep....nice to see!
I walked over to M&Ds area as soon as the show started and there were close to 100 people yanking the stuff from the wall...everyone looking for the Habs lures....I got two of them.
It was funny that there was a guy who obviously knew the owners and he got a hidden stash of Habs. I spoke to the guy and he said I knew Mike and it does not hurt to know people....how can I get hooked up like that
I am sorry for not talking to the folks at M&Ds about a rod but I saw the amount of people and I knew you were not going to have time to talk to me about a custom rod.
talked to the folks at CMS and they had a custom 1322 which I bought for under 300$ 15% discount...woo hoo!
one more apology....I am sorry for not stopping to talk to anyone but my buddy did not seem like he wanted to meet people as he does not surf the fishing sites plus his leash was being pulled from home

That was by far the best MSBA show I've been to!! It was well organized, lots of room, cooler than the past years, and numerous GREAT vendors!!
It was a pleasure seeing everyone, GBOutdoors, Mike, Barb, Salty and the family, GS, Slip, Mac turning away, Capesams, PNG, JoeG, BigFishLarry, Angler, OX the Ditch...who else!!?? I know I'm forgetting someone!!
Enjoyed seeing everything out there and buying most of it!! Great plug turning info....really learned a lot from Slip and Mac...thanks guys!!
Some real nice stuff ther! M&D's was PACKED upon opening...seems everyone had the same idea....ravage the Habs
Kudos to the MSBA crew...great job and nicely laid out! Hope tomorrow as as good, if not BETTER than today! What a like outside at opening! Glad we arrived 45 minutes earlier!!
 to the crew!

I have to say thanks to the MSBA for taking care of me.
If you guys did not know the main support to my display let go.Patrialy because I forgot 2 scerws to tie the unit together and overstock with product.
Patrick tracked me down at 11:15 last night. to let me know and to prepair for the damage.
Any other place I don't think would not have gone the extra mile like MSBA did.2 hours of repair and up and running.
We had a great show and expect to do well tomorrow.
Thanks to all our loyal customers who turned out and for the new people which we have met thru the show.

What a great place to have the show, bright, roomy and well ventilated; literally a breath of fresh air. It was good to see some of my old friends, some new ones and catch up during the lull this afternoon. I'm crashing early in anticipation of another morning rush, especially with the rain predicted tomorrow.
Tight lines.

Exhausted!
I must mention how impressed I am by all of you kind folk who frequent this site and attended the show today. Your kindness, generosity and good nature make a long, exhausting weekend like this worth every second I put into it. Just to see all enjoying themselves at the show, enjoying the plug demo booth was my reward for all the work that goes into this event. Thank you all for coming.
It was great meeting all the guys I have never had the pleasure of before, and seeing all who I don't get to see enough of.
Big thanks to Capesams, MAC and Slipknot....you guys are 3 of the best guys around and the work you did today was a joy to watch as all enjoyed your demo. Thank you guys.
Flap...thanks for lunch and lets make a point of getting out fishing as discussed, nothing would be better than two tall capemen in a small boat pitching wood into the rocks. I look forward to that.
Tired right now. I look forward to seeing many more of you tomorrow. Glad you all enjoyed the show.
NIB......Thanks!

Great Show !!!
Bought a new 9 1/2 ' Breakaway Rod from Mike. NICE ROD.
Best part was I sold 2 of my older rods to my son-in-law.
Talked to Tinman ( NJTackle) about lips. He was very busy, but not too busy
to take the time to explain what different lips do. Thanks Tinman.
The Plug building demo was great. I saw some different ways I can improve
the plugs I am building. Thanks guys.
There are some absolutely awsome custom plugs for sale at the show.
The guys selling them took the time to explain how there plug is
different and better than everyone elses. Of course I think MY Plugs
are the best ones. Some day they might look as good as the show plugs.
And a special thanks to all the guys who put the show on.
If you can make it today, definitely go.
Tight Lines

Nice Job
I did not get to the show until 3:00 PM with everything going on with my own boat. Nice set up with the seminar booths and it was like going to a convention with plenty of friends, I ran into Larry, Sheri, Roland, Patrick, Jules, Bill, Rachel, Skip, Mike and many many more old friends. The dealer tables all were professionally set up and I it was quite impressive. Once again congratulations to the show committee they deserve alot of credit along with all of the volunteers. Have a great day.

Missed the event this year. But I was wondering if that english chap was there who was growing those big sandworms? He was there last year (Had some M O N S T E R worms too) and said his company was opening a plant in Maine. After reading Charley's book I need to find a source for killer sandworms.
Has anybody purchased worms from this outfit?
