Okuma Reels??

Anyone have one? Anyone use one? Anyone like them? They have a couple larger ones, 340yds/15 lb & 350yds/20 lbs. I have a smaller one that I used for the last couple years for light tackle and it's great. Has anyone put any hours in the surf with one, and what are your thoughts on them. The price looks pretty nice at $55-65 a pop. Thanks for the input.

I bought an Epixor eb-30 for my freshwater setup and loved it. Decided to buy an epixor eb-65 for salt and it was a mistake. not durable at all, can't really take a beating. I ended up relinquishing it to dunkin chunks and pretty much nothing more.

Wow, glad I asked, thanks for the feedback. Like you said, I liked my smaller one for light salt but for some reason, I was a little wary of the bigger ones. Guess I need to find something else now. Thanks again

I am intrigued by their new VS line of reels. Its the only reel in their line that has a 5year warranty.

I spoke with someone in customer service and they will be offering a larger size reel in that line suited towards surfcasting.

I figure with the warranty and the under $200 price tag I'll give it a shot.Either it'll work out or it won't.Either way I'm going put it to the test and report back here on a regular basis.Lets just hope they introduce this larger reel before the season really gets underway as a full season test is the only real way to gage if its going to be a decent reel or not.

2 AV50's on second season no problems... Held up well all season on large blues and good sized bass.
