Corrosion On Guides

Took out my rods today and noticed one of them....about 3 years old, has some light corrosion beginning on the guides. You know...that green haze? Any tips on what to clean them with that will remove the corrosion without damaging the guides? I clean them really well after each use. WD-40?

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

WD-40 and a Scotchbrite pad lightly buffed. Before each season and several times a year I give my rods (guides included) a good washing and then a coat of good car wax and buff out, Water beads right off and doesn't gain any purchase on the metal work. ( psst, hey Larry, you should be fishing!!!!)

Why even try.........

I use this stuff from amsoil, any anti-corrosion would do.

butcher's wax/clear, even on the reels..Nothing sticks to it, not even eel slime or seal blood.

BOAT fish do count.
