Junk yard advice
Anyone got any advice on salvaging the most money possible outta my broken down truck? It has deer damage to the front right corner,and needs transmission work( transfer case/chain). I just dropped $400+ on tires alone 3 months ago. Called one junk yard and he said probally $50-100   . Still owe my parents a couple grand for it is the best part  . |

you can probably sell the tires on ebay. They are not that hard to ship.

To be honest, $50 - $100 is a good amount to be PAID for a junk car or truck, because the price of scrap iron is WAY up now!!!
A few years ago, you would have had to pay $50 - $100 to have a junk yard take the truck!!!

emptied pms. He said i needed a rebuilt transmission(whole unit) , called tatco, said $1800 + tax and fluids so 2K. Cant get it fixed till friday the 20th either. Could i just bypass the transfer case and have 2 wheel drive?

Not without major modifications...You need 2wd tranny,shaft,maybe mounts..etc.. |
